about this site?
Compared to my other Prince of Tennis shrines - this one is relatively small, in size, close to Immaculate but a tad bit larger. I'm well aware of how important Saeki is to the series, and I couldn't be any prouder to be able to talk about him so fondly throughout this shrine. For the record, Saeki isn't important, so for me to be able to go this far, it's sort of amusing. I hope you enjoyed your stay!

HIGACHUU.ORG: A linkage page will be put in order soon, count on it. Higachuu.org is the main hub of all my Prince of Tennis sites (save for my Sengoku, of course), so for more crack love, go there. A few to mention: Romanesque, Get Lucky! (other Sengoku), & Marui/Jirou.
NAMINE.ORG: A production from the 8th princess.
ABOUT THE OWNER: Not all that crazy, really.

LAYOUT It's relatively pathetic I couldn't come up with a layout for Saeki, so I had Lorelei make the header and footer while I coded and worked with everything else. Yeah, I have a strange difficulty layout-ing him and let's hope I can start making my own layout for him in the next one to come. So, for anything, please direct all blames at Lorelei. Oh, and don't steal.
ESPOIR Is the french word for "hope" -- when coming up with a name for Saeki, I didn't have the slightest on what to call him, other than Prince. Prince would've been absolutely lovely, if only Ryoma Echizen didn't hold that title. So, to save Saeki from getting confused with Echizen, I went ahead with ESPOIR. It's actually a song by Missa Johnouchi, of which is related to another song she composed called tristesse 'sadness'. All her french titles sort of reminded me of Saeki's love for chanson (French cabaret music), so I chose ESPOIR. 'Hope' is a good noun to describe Saeki.
THE TRUTH .. Reason, if you will. Why not do a shrine to Saeki?! After all, I discovered Saeki not long after I discovered Oshitari and Fuji, which makes him my 3rd discovery [when I was new to the fandom] and still a big favorite of mine to this very day. I noticed that Rokkaku and Saeki never really get enough recognition from the fandom, even in Japan, so I decided it was time to bring Rokkaku out of the shadows and into the light, starting with my favorite and a fan favorite (literally, if you think of Rokkaku, you instantly think of DabiBane and Saeki) -- Saeki Kojirou. Surprisingly (and almost disturbing), people don't actually favor Saeki as much as I'd thought - he really defies the "so pretty that you have to like this character" phenomena in Tenipuri. I really expected a billion people to like this character almost as much as Fuji, but alas, he can't even rank well in the Valentines' Chocolate contests. Though, fans do appreciate him a bit anyway; in polls he was ranked in the top 5 and "Who would you want as your older brother" and "Who would you want to teach you tennis" -- that sort of stuff makes me smile. So, I spend ungodly amounts of $$$ on bromides and other Saeki-related merchandise to simply say i'd fork over greens for a piece of that dual-haired sexy. /literally/ Anyone who knows me personally wouldn't be surprised at such a feat of mine - to go as far as shrining Saeki, ranked in unimportance alongside characters like Minami Kentarou (the forgotten Yamabuki captain) and Jackal Kuwahara (the bald guy from Rikkai). WELL, here's my love for him. It was like an instinct in my mind: "You cannot resist Saeki" and nope, I couldn't, didn't try resisting, and didn't even care. He's lovely, and the whole world needs to get used to it.
Prince of Tennis & all characters mentioned here belong to Takeshi Konomi. Only a fansite, and in no way affiliated with the creators. Much appreciated if you did not steal. Content belongs to Airi, layout by Lorelei. Stealing not appreciated.
